I am looking to engage an HONEST and PROFESSIONAL local mechanic who can make a (relatively) small repair on my 2004 Nissan Quest.
The issue at hand is a very simple one - however, my current physical limitations have made this previously simple job nearly impossible for me to accomplish on my own.
In brief, a "P0 340" code appeared when it was scanned for any errors in the system. This code indicates that the fault lies with the "Bank 1 Camshaft Position Sensor." As such, the failure of this sensor has caused intermittent rough idling and worse yet, unexpected stalling at the most inopportune times. Not good.
I recently attempted to do this job myself - but was simply unable to remove the pigtail off of the sensor no matter how hard I tried - even when I removed the sensor from the engine (the sensor is located in the back upper part of the engine) FYI, I have changed this sensor out (on a previous occasion - with relative ease) - but I am simply not able to do so at this time. It takes a 10 mm socket to remove the sensor - but I was afraid that I would destroy the pigtail wiring in trying to disconnect the harness; thus causing a whole different problem for myself - so I stopped what I was doing; and put the sensor back into the engine. To be clear, there is just not a lot of room to work - and I have relatively small hands - but I could simply not break it loose no matter what.
In summary, I already have a brand new sensor in my possession - and need it to be swapped out for the defective one.
Kindly contact me via email if you are willing and able to help me out here.
Thanks so much in advance to any and all Craigslist readers for your genuine interest in helping me out with my situation.
P.S. Lastly, PLEASE no CL scammers, flakes, freaks, or trolls need reply.
