Madsen & Howell is a industrial supplies distributor that has customers in NJ, NY, PA, CT, DE. Transport industrial supplies to customers as well as picking up materials from vendors by performing the following duties. We are looking for a highly motivated, customer driven and safe driver. Must be able to secure marital properly on the truck.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Safely drives truck to destination and assists in loading and unloading of truck.
• Ensures orders are delivered quickly and as safely as possible.
• Checks over orders with the Warehouse Dispatch Manager before leaving for a delivery run to verify that paperwork and material match.
• Ensures signed packing slips are returned to the Warehouse Dispatch Manager from each and every delivery as well as pick up.
• Reports all traffic violations and accidents to the Warehouse Dispatch Manager.
• Assists warehouse personnel at any time necessary with an order such as pulling or putting away material and servicing walk-in customers.
• Ensures the upkeep of all trucks. This includes, but is not limited to, notifying the Warehouse Dispatch Manager of any needed scheduled maintenance or problems that may need attention (ex. tire wear, dents, scratches, broken windows, loose parts etc).
• Removes trash from the cab and bed every night before keys are handed in.
• Ensures that pallets are returned back to the designated area.
• Notifies and receives approval from Warehouse Dispatch Manager before punching out.
• Ensures that insurance and registration records are all up to date and other paperwork is in order in the truck.
Qualifications:
• Valid and clean driver’s license at least 2 years driving experience.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
