R & R Construction is looking for an experienced Underground Utility / Pipe Foreman to lead a crew on private site development projects throughout New Jersey.
We are a 66+ year family-run site contractor built on hard work, long-term people, and doing the job the right way. We specialize in underground utilities, drainage, grading, earthwork, and heavy site construction.

You will lead a utility crew in the field and be responsible for safe, accurate, and productive installation of underground utility systems, including:
• Storm sewer
• Underground detention basin work
• Sanitary sewer
• Water main
• Drainage structures
• Underground utility systems
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a utility crew
• Read plans, profiles, details, stakes, and grades
• Install pipe safely, accurately, and efficiently
• Maintain line, grade, slope, elevations, and proper bedding
• Coordinate daily work with superintendents and project managers
• Plan labor, equipment, materials, trucking, and deliveries
• Identify conflicts, delays, safety issues, and production problems early
• Communicate with inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Track extra work, changes, quantities, and daily field notes
• Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and professional
• Coach and mentor crew members
• Enforce safety, trench safety, shoring, and OSHA requirements
• Representing R & R Construction with pride and accountability
Experience
• 5+ years of underground utility, pipe, grading, or heavy site work experience •
• Strong knowledge of storm, sanitary, water, drainage, trenching, and grading
• Ability to read site plans, profiles, details, and specifications
• Ability to calculate slopes, grades, and elevations
• Experience checking grade and working with stakes/layout
• Knowledge of bedding, compaction, shoring, soil conditions, and trench safety
• Ability to lead a crew and maintain production
• Strong communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• CDL is a plus
• Trimble GPS, layout, or machine control experience is a plus
