Bridgeport American Manual Mill Vertical Milling Machine. Round Ram; M Head Metalworking Machinery Milling Machine 32" Power Feed table Bridgeport Machines, Inc. Model NO BH2960 1943 is in great shape; all hand feeds turn smoothly and the locks engage. Lots of adjustment left in the gibs and the ways are straight and true in alignment; surface finish is good with negligible backlash. Metalworking machinery comes with 32 inch table, Bridgeport vice, tooling and collets. These “War Production Board” machines were crucial to winning World War II and are sought after by collectors as well machinists for their continued durability, versatility, and continued precision to this day. Machine was very well maintained; it works and has not been restored, painted or scraped. This specific machine includes a hoist (pictured) and also comes with 50 gal air compressor (pictured). Uncle purchased mill it has been stored in a climate controlled garage for the past 20 years. The family moved across country and couldn’t take it with them since his passing. Used to remove material from workpiece through rotating cutting tool, end mill, to shape and fabricate parts with high precision. Features a vertically oriented spindle that is perpendicular to the worktable for face milling, peripheral milling, end milling, drilling, tapping, boring, slotting, and creating groves and complex contours. The X, Y, Z, A, B, C axis all move through their full range machine can also set up for rotary table and indexing table.
