This was tested by connecting to my Comcast cable and hooking up to a computer. After a couple minutes if you try to access the internet it will take you to the Xfinity "new modem registration page" where you would would enter you account number or phone number to activate the modem. See photos.
The removable clear protective film is still in place on the top, there is just a little cosmetic wear, not bad. It's been reset to factory defaults but now to log onto it and change settings (if needed) you'd type in 10.0.0.1 into browser, enter ADMIN as username and "passwerd" for the password. Or just do another factory reset. I tested Wifi and it's working well. No issues.
Including the power cord, a network cable, a coax splitter, and a coax patch cable for easy hookup.
Want to know for sure this modem will work for you? Write down the serial number shown in photos and call up Comcast, they will confirm it's ready to use. I will also give 24 hours for you to test this out, if it doesn't work for you then you can bring back within 24 hours and as long as it's in the exact same physical and working condition I will refund you. Exactly 24 hours, NO exceptions.
