One-off build by Randy Fay of Phaez Amps.
Handwired. 2 KT66 Gold Lion power tubes. About 30 watts. Comes with a nice cover as well.
Here are a couple of comments from the builder, Randy Fay:
“The F30 was a custom build from a few years ago. DNA is from a Bassman/JTM45 but there is an added gain stage offering a bit more gain. Master volume + post phase inverter master. Effects loop. Approx 30w from a pair of KT66 output tubes. Tube rectifier. Overall a wonderful amp from chimey clean to some nice grind.”
"Here is another custom build. The F30. Here are the details: 30W from a pair of KT66's. Tube rectification.
Really well thought out circuit. Tone leans toward JTM45 or Fender Bassman. But there are some unique things to this one. After the first gain stage, we use a cathode follower to drive a tonestack then volume control.
The tonestack values falls between a JTM/Bassman and a Twin/Blackface.
From we have a gain stage then the effects loop. Then a recovery gain stage after the return, then the master volume which has a very useful bright control. From there we enter my custom 12AT7 phase inverter and then on into a Post Phase Inverter Master Volume (PPIMV).Final result is something very very cool. I got some absolutely glorious tones I haven't had before. You CAN get some heavy tones out of this due to the PPIMV, think Rival Sons, Queens of the Stone Age."
