The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance, sanitation, and operational integrity of our commercial cannabis production facility. This role oversees the daily activities of the porter team to ensure a pristine, compliant, and efficient work environment. The ideal Facilities Maintenance Manager candidate will combine strong supervisory skills with technical knowledge of facility systems to maintain high production standards and meet regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Supervise the porter team to ensure all general maintenance and cleaning tasks meet company and safety standards
-Manage day-to-day workflows, including waste management, area sanitation, and organization of production spaces
-Monitor, and coordinate repairs for, infrastructure
-Ensure that all facility maintenance activities strictly adhere to state and local cannabis operational regulations, as well as internal SOPs
-Oversee the procurement and storage of cleaning supplies, facility maintenance tools, and operational equipment
-Partner with department directors to support the needs of production lines, ensuring that facilities are optimized for maximum efficiency
-Travel to retail sites for assistance and/or repairs, as needed (company car or mileage reimbursement provided)
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Supervisory experience leading teams in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
-Strong understanding of facility maintenance, including general porter duties and industrial sanitation standards.
-Ability to enforce strict adherence to company policies while maintaining a productive and respectful team environment
-Excellent organizational and time-management skills
-Valid driver's license with clean moving-violation record
-Hands on experience in relevant technical trades (HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing) is preferred
-Experience working in a regulated warehouse or food production environment is required
WORK SCHEDULE:
-Monday to Friday
-Occasional weekends, as needed
