Major Responsibilities
Diagnose and execute required repairs on packaging machinery either independently or with engineering guidance
Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance across all packaging systems
Execute equipment setups and product changeovers for packaging lines
Consistently monitor machinery operations to maintain optimal performance and minimize operational interruptions
Ensure all equipment maintains continuous qualification status in accordance with regulatory manufacturing standards
Record all completed tasks in maintenance logs, work requests, manufacturing records, and production documentation
Maintain adequate inventory of replacement components and spare parts for packaging operations in coordination with engineering
Diagnose and resolve issues with inspection systems, track-and-trace equipment, scanning devices, and programmable controllers as needed
Collaborate with engineering on equipment installation, diagnosis, and enhancement projects
Share technical expertise with packaging production staff to minimize downtime and boost productivity
Participate in team initiatives or work independently to propose equipment efficiency and throughput improvements

Adaptable to working collaboratively with production floor personnel
Capable of reading, understanding, and following equipment operation documentation and technical diagrams
Proficient in computer operation and software applications
Self-directed with ability to work autonomously with limited oversight
Analytical thinking – applying logical reasoning to evaluate advantages and limitations of different solutions and problem-solving approaches
Strong service orientation and professional conduct when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Superior oral and written communication abilities
English language fluency required

Requirements (Education/Experience)
High School Diploma, equivalency certificate, or vocational training completion
Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or comparable credentials preferred
At least 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with regulated packaging operations highly desirable
Robust technical foundation and mechanical problem-solving skills for equipment diagnosis and repair
Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, and pneumatic systems essential
Familiarity with product serialization technologies
Comprehensive technical proficiency with electro-mechanical assemblies, servo systems, and PLC-controlled equipment, plus extensive understanding of packaging machinery including cartoning and labeling systems required
Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities required
Working knowledge of electrical systems, fundamental electronics, hardware components, and measurement tools
Competency in interpreting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics for packaging equipment and infrastructure
Ability to wear cleanroom garments and protective equipment as dictated by standard procedures
Understanding of current good manufacturing practices required
