Large Biltrite Vintage Storage Trunk manufactured by The Zimmer Trunk Co. - Passaic, NJ
This rare, vintage trunk is well built and structurally sound with a distressed appeal and lots of character. A unique storage solution !
This trunk has a wooden base covered in black patina leather with metal detailing and nailhead trim. It has metal corner/edge guards, side catches, a center locking latch and two flip latches.
The leather exterior has some scuffs and which adds to the distressed look. Leather handles on each end are missing and center latch is damaged and is basically just decorative (see pics). However, the lid can be secured shut with the metal side catches and front flip latches. The interior fabric lining has significant rips and soiling/stains. The lid stay is missing so it needs to be closed carefully.
