This is for a 1920 Lane, Altavista Cedar Hope/Blanket Chest. The cedar in the interior of the chest is in excellent condition. It has a rose applique on the front. The exterior, mainly the top, has surface finish issues and would benefit from refinishing. There was exposure to a water heater flood years ago but it seems to have affected the veneer layer on the bottom of chest only. It has not affected the cedar interior. Fun fact: Lane Furniture used a serial number as a date stamp that was read right to left to determine the date. This early chest then is dated as July, 28, 1920
