These coins are composed of copper nickel and feature the state of California. The 2005 California quarter honors the states naturalist John Muir and Yosemite National Park. John Muir admiring Yosemite's Half Dome, with a California condor soaring above. It was the 31st coin in the United States Mint's 50 State Quarters Program.
