Astatic Large Lot of Over 400 Vintage Phonograph Needles New Old Stock. 1950's 1960's. Here is a huge hoard of vintage Astatic turntable phonograph needles. New Old Stock. Approx 400 unused needles all in there plastic cases with the protective sponge inside. Though all the sponge seems to be there most due to age are dried up. There are many different code numbers all under the name Astatic for companies such as Columbia, Webster Electric, Tetrad, American Microphone, Electra Voice, Ronette, Sonotone, Shure and Weathers plus more. I did not look at them all. The needle point materials are Osmium, Sapphire and maybe others. The original prices and instructions are on the back. I seen some priced for $7.50 and that was 60 to 70 years ago. The steel case has three drawers it measures roughly 12 inches long x 11.5inches wide x 8 inches tall and it's heavy. It does have some wear. These needles can still be bought from a few dollars to $27.00, I just did a small sampling many could bring much more. I'm selling mine for approx a little more than $2.00 each then the case would be free. I have no idea if these needles will work since I cannot test but, they all look good.
