BeyondLimitations Empowerment is seeking a compassionate and dependable Reading Tutor / College Readiness Coach to provide one-on-one, in-home instruction for a young adult with special needs in Princeton, NJ.
This position is ideal for an educator or coach who enjoys helping students build confidence while strengthening reading comprehension, written communication, and the academic skills needed for success in college.
Responsibilities
Provide individualized reading instruction tailored to the student's learning style.
Improve reading comprehension, vocabulary, and written communication skills.
Support the student in preparing for college placement and post-secondary coursework.
Build confidence, motivation, and independent learning skills.
Collaborate with the family and BeyondLimitations Empowerment to support the student's goals.
Qualifications
Experience teaching reading, literacy, or language arts.
Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
Special Education certification, Reading Specialist certification, or related experience is a plus.
Patient, encouraging, and able to adapt instruction to meet the student's unique needs.
Reliable transportation for in-home sessions in Princeton, NJ.

Preferred schedule: Saturdays (flexibility is appreciated)
Independent Contractor (1099) position
Starting at $45/hour, with opportunities for additional students
