BeyondLimitations Empowerment LLC is seeking a qualified Music Teacher / Instrumental Instructor to provide 1:1 music instruction to adult clients with disabilities in New Jersey. This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
Music instruction helps our clients build confidence, coordination, focus, and self-expression. We’re looking for an instructor who can teach one or more instruments while adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 instrumental music lessons to adult clients
Teach proper technique, rhythm, timing, and basic music theory
Work with instruments such as piano/keyboard, guitar, drums, violin, or other instruments based on your expertise
Adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and abilities
Create a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment
Maintain professionalism and communicate with the BeyondLimitations Empowerment team as needed
Requirements:
Formal training or credentials in music performance, music education, or a related field
Proficiency in one or more instruments
Prior experience teaching music (private lessons, schools, studios, community programs, etc.)
Experience working with individuals with disabilities strongly preferred
Reliable, patient, and professional
Ability to pass required background checks
Comfortable working as an independent contractor (1099)
Schedule & Pay:
Flexible scheduling based on client availability
Sessions are typically 1:1
Competitive pay, discussed during the interview
Location:
In-person sessions in New Jersey (client locations may vary)
