MS Auto Road 1001 Autobahn Kids Driving School Toy 1948 Germany Rare. Here is a very rare US zone German Autobahn child's driving instruction toy. The box says "The Ideal Motor School For Our Youngsters" Designed by Michael Seidel. Early post-war tin electric toy by MS- Auto-Road 1001 in the original box. Toy car is designed to go around track via a steering wheel in the front with different obstacle buildings and bridges in the way. The old cord is very frayed so it is untested. It is very large 18" X 15" but the box is 22" long and 5" tall. Made of metal and aluminum. Seems to be complete with both cars plus buildings, trees and signs. There is a magnet on the bottom of one car, the other the magnet is off and I don't know how to put it on. Repro instructions. Excellent plus condition with no dents just some light litho loss here and there on almost 80 year old toy. I have only seen one other in over 30 years and that sold for $6,000 in Germany about 13 years ago. The box is in very good condition showing a young boy driving a car. Has an insert. Fantastic German toy. How many could be left? More great vintage items on Craigslist. I have other toys and advertising for sale on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. Please ask any questions that you may have via email or text. Unlike Ebay or auctions I charge no tax, shipping charge or buyers premium for Craigslist or Facebook purchases that are picked up or handed off. Thank you, Dave
