FORD 1942 DEALERSHIP BANNER /FLAG FORD 6 - 90 HORSEPOWER 63X38 NYLON SUPER RARE. Here is a scarce large vintage almost 85 year old Ford showroom or auto show banner/ flag promoting the 1942 Ford Six with 90 Horsepower engine. The bottom says "America's Most Modern Six". It has a clean bright attractive appearance to it's satiny finish cloth/nylon. It has the original wooden rod with golden rope and the gold fringe at the bottom. It is very large at 63" Tall x 38.5" W. It does have some light wear, some small tack like holes, couple light stains, some old tape residue in a couple spots if you look closely. Some small holes bottom blue area. Those minor issues take nothing away from this banner. Banner looks to have been folded originally. These are very rare due to WW2. Very little advertising was produced as well as cars. Only 160,211 Fords were built as compared to 1941 when 691,455 were built. I could only ever find one example of this banner sold via Live auctioneers through RM auctions/ RM Sotheby's for $1500 on 6/24/18. That was the hammer price, if you add in the 23% Buyers premium, tax and shipping cost the total would have been over $2000. This item will be shipped in a large thick sturdy tube for safety. Please check out my other vintage items. I have advertising for sale on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. Please ask any questions that you may have via email or text. Unlike Ebay or auctions I charge no tax, shipping charge or buyers premium for Craigslist or Facebook purchases that are picked up or handed off. Thank you, Dave
