Daily True American 1903 Bound Newspaper 3 Months Highlanders Yankees content. Here is an over 120 year old bound newspaper from July, August and September for 1903. This was the first year for the New York Yankees called the Highlanders at that time. Not a lot of fanfare in their first year. I didn't go through it all because the pages and spine are fragile. Some loose, some edges are frayed. Death of Pope Leo, Pope Pius was crowned. American League MVP was Nap Lajoie and National League was Honus Wagner plus all the baseball players of the day. 1903 was the first year of the first World Series which started on 10/1/03. Plenty of ads and news of the day content. This is large and heavy. The covers are well made as well as the outer spine. How many of these can still be around. More great vintage items on Craigslist.
