This is a 1987 ‘First Printing’

“The Graphic Works”, by Ben Q. Adams & Richard Newlin, was published in 1987
by Taos Editions, Ltd., Albuquerque, New Mexico in association with Western
Graphics Workshop, Inc. and Houston Fine Art Press.
The book is a catalogue of the printed works of the noted artist, RC Gorman.
This is an oversized book that measures 14 ½ inches wide and 11 ¼ inches tall
and is one inch thick. The pages are completely clean.

The book contains beautifully illustrated color pictures of Gorman’s works.
The book is in very good condition. The dust jacket shows normal signs of wear
but is in good condition with only some minor small nicks on the edges and
on the jacket back. The front has a 1-inch crease that looks like a tear but is not.
The top front of the jacket has a small tear. The spine is intact and there are no
rips or writing inside the 254 pages. The book has two toned grey cloth covered
boards with the book title stamped in.

• The Graphic Art of R. C. Gorman, by Ben Q. Adams & Richard Newlin – 14 pages of text and illustrations constituting a short biographical summary of the man and his work.
• Selected Works – 88 pages of colorful illustrations of Gorman’s work, accompanied, where appropriate, by Navajo mythology explanations by Robert and Hazel Tohe
• Progressive Proofs – a short 6-page section that describes, in text and illustrations, the technique of making multi-color lithographs.
• Catalog Raisonne – a 102-page section, by Nancy Steen, which describes all the 404 graphic works produced by Gorman – with text and illustrations.
