This is a used round wall clock made and signed by Grant-Norén (2007)
A Grant-Norén wall clock is an artistic, handcrafted piece by the duo Daniel Grant and Ingela Noren, who use a traditional Scandinavian wood painting technique to create unique, hand-painted designs. These clocks are typically made of wood, are known for their vibrant colors and "faux wood grain" finishes
The artworks by Ingela Noren and Daniel Grant are hand-painted on wood. As taught by an old master in Stockholm, they first apply an under layer of sealing stain or paint. They then mix the pigment with a milk-based glaze and apply it using brushes, combs, sponges, fists, and fingers! In the end, a final varnish is applied to protect the work and create a lovely finish. They impart elegance with a Deco air. They hand make and paint unique furniture and accessories
Their partnership began in Pietrasanta, Italy in 1986 as marble sculptors. Ingela Norén, a renowned and published weaver, studied arts and crafts in Sweden, her native country, including the study of faux finish techniques
