Freelance reporters are sought to cover municipal and school board meetings in Sayreville. Please send a resume and three of your best writing samples to editor@parlinsayrevilleprogress.com. Must have a decent digital camera.
Prior newspaper reporting experience is preferred but not necessary. Resumes sent to the wrong e-mail address will be deleted without being read, as being a careful reader is an important requirement of being a reporter.
If done correctly, reporters can expect to make at least $150 a week or more by attending a meeting two nights per month, and writing three basic articles based on the meeting per week.
- Location: Sayreville
- Compensation: $40 per story, $50 if includes pic - $10 per stand-alone image. Mileage reimbursed.
