Poor Petey was abandoned by his family and dumped in a high-kill shelter. Petey's searching for that 15 year permanent family plan. He loves people & is good with other dogs and cats. Petey's ideal home is an adult home with a dog savvy person who is also a good pack leader. A fenced in yard to exercise and play is preferred. Petey meets his doggie friends every morning at Riverside Park to play and exercise. While Petey loves to play, he also likes to snuggle on his bed or watch a movie after he's been outdoors and properly exercised. He's crate trained for his down time and has the right structure and stamina to be your reliable jogging buddy. Petey's an amazingly beautiful dog, with a well-proportioned body and hazel eyes. His coat is red & white. He's leash trained and knows the "sit" "lay down" "off" and "look" commands and has a good recall. Petey is a dog for someone wishing to give love to a needy animal AND who will enjoy obedience training the dog and understands the value of being a good pack leader. In return, who ever adopts Petey will have a best friend and a loyal companion. Petey is approx 18 months and 55 pounds, neutered, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped. Lily was adopted to a nice family but landlord now doesn't want dogs in his building and Lily must leave ASAP. We're taking Lily back but need a foster home so she's not returned to the kill shelter. Lily is a wonderful dog. She's a young pearl with soft warm eyes, a gorgeous brindle coat and a face that is made to impress. She's about two years old, 40-45 pounds, and getting prettier by the day since she was rescued.
Lily was dumped by her first owner in a city shelter after she had a litter of puppies that was taken away from her and sold. Because she gave birth recently and lost her puppies, Lily is nervous and protective around other dogs thus she needs a home without other dogs -- a home with a fenced yard would be a dream come true! She hasn't been tested with cats. She's great with children but our rescue group's policy is with children over 10.
Lily is a sweetheart, she's nicely connected, gentle, responsive, fun in play sessions with her guardian and all those things that seem unbelievable coming from a dog that was used for breeding and then dumped. Lily is spayed, UTD with vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
