We're loud, noisy, obnoxious, 25, tired of the same old same old in everything. Yeah, one of us drinks a lot and the other smokes a lot, but life's all about balance. I'm not looking for somebody with a drum stick up their figurative parts, just somebody intellectual who wants to get down on something challenging. Every time we play, we strive to create something new, but for some reason, this world is full of losers that don't want to do anything. Yeah, we're angry, yeah, our music isn't normal, but it's not all about anger. For the most part we're influenced by down-tempo stuff like classic rock, reggae, Radiohead, classical music, jazz, The Beatles, etc. More aggressive influences are NOT nickelback, creed, dream theatre, etc. More like TOOL, The Mars Volta, Eminem, NIN (especially The Fragile).

Please only hit us up if you actually want to PLAY, not just sit back and analyze recording samples. But we do have some available, if you insist.

A lot about my Equipment: First of all, I record onto ProTools which is pretty much the industry standard. But�before your signal even gets there, it passes through some high end tube and transformer based preamps and channel strips to warm things up for that classic analog sound. For this, I use products from Avalon, Neve, Empirical Labs, TL Audio, Joemeek, Drawmer, DBX and FMR.

Software: I practically have all the Waves Plug-Ins and practically all the PSP Audioware stuff (which is fantastic), IK Multimedia and Antares.

I also use the good old analog effect units that are looped through while recording and mixing, from Lexicon, TC Electronics, Sony, Alesis, and (don�t laugh) Ibanez for those funny yet cool signal destroying lo-fi sounds.

Amplifiers: Fender, Mesa Boogie and Hartke

Cabinets: Orange (4 x 12), Marshall (4 x 12) 1969 cab and a really nice homemade cab with one 12" speaker that fits nicely in its own miked up sound proof booth.

Keyboards: Roland SH-09 Monophonic Synth (70�s), KORG Triton Studio, DW8000, a Poly800 and a Mini Casio when only a rinky-dink sound will do.

Pedals: For various forms of distortion and effects by Vox, Hughes and Kettner, Foxrox, Z Vex, Tremolo, Boss, Line 6 and Damage Control.

Microphones: From very expensive to kind of expensive.

Our set list will be about 25 songs in a half hour, mostly original, the covers we are doing will be Minor Threat, Government Issue, DC youth Brigade, and SSD. Formerly "Common Ground" of SF Bay area. The goal of the band is to play local shows, and record one album. In Spirit Living Yoga Studio will begin offering a live Friday Night Drum Circle event led by Thor the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month from 7pm til midnight!

Drum circles for the month of November will be on the 13th and the 27th.

Everyone of all levels is welcome to attend. Please bring your own drum and extra if you have it!

Thor will offer instruction and a drum to inexperienced drummers. The recommended donation to this event is $10 to cover rent costs.

To be considered, you must be able to devote the time and energy, and willing to make the sacrifices required to help this band become a full-time, successful, touring rock/pop band. I am looking to start a band together again - I have not played with others in an organized group for about 5 years, but I am itching to start again. Life's too short.

A few things about me and what I'm looking for:

1. A rock band with a few reinvented covers thrown in the mix
2. I mainly play acoustic guitar, but have been getting back into electric.
3. I'm 25 and have been playing since 12.
4. I'd like a very moderate sound with fluctuations toward hard rock and folk. I'm not a screamer, and while I like metal and hardcore, I'm hoping to start something a little more bar-friendly.
5. I have a lot of songs written.
6. I'm looking for a lead guitarist and a bass player who is out of college in the Central Jersey area, between 23 years old and 33 years old. Gender doesn't matter, but if you have an online sample of an old band or a recording you've done, please send it to me.
7. This is usually a deal breaker, but I'm female.

Rock, Metal, Fusion, some Jazz... anything but Southern Rock... big fan of 80's progressive and melodic rock. Extreme, Vai, Whitesnake, Satriani, Tesla, Mr. Big, Damn Yankees, Warrant, GNR, Chili Peppers, etc. Not into anything from the 50's and 60's and definitely not into wedding band scenarios.

Very into current rock from artists that have an eye for power chord-driven rock ballads with great hooks! Chickenfoot, Theory of a Deadman, Kings of Leon, Bon Jovi, Creed, Collective Soul, Matchbox 20, 3 Doors Down, Bruce, Seether, Lifehouse, Daughtry, Foo Fighters, O.A.R., Nickelback, Hinder, Tom Petty, Black Crows, The Fray, etc. If you're looking for a "root note" player please look elsewhere. I'm in the pocket when necessary but I'm definitely into melodic lines that are tastefully done. Above all I want deliver music that ignites a crowd and moves them!
