So here's the deal. I have a flashcart for a DSi that I want to use, but it is incompatible with my DSi's firmware, and the only way I can update the firmware on it is if I do it on someone's DSLite. I don't have one, and I can't afford to buy one.

It will only take 15 minutes and will have no effect on your DS Lite at all, I just have to load the flashcart and start the firmware update (on the cart, not your DS).
